Joint Engineering and Construction of Vietnam (MECO) was established on the basis of equitization of State enterprises Engineering Construction Company of Agriculture and Water Resources in Hanoi. 250A from the initial workshop was established in March 1956 the Decision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry 07/NN/QD, perform the tasks of repairing, restoring tractors meet the requirements of agricultural mechanization.

The central Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry is now Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development rename Plant Engineering Hanoi Agricultural Engineering Company and Rural Development.

December 9, 2005 Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Decision No. 4465/QD/BNN-TCCB about; Moving Company State Enterprise Engineering and construction of irrigation agriculture in Hanoi Joint Stock Company Engineering and Construction.

To May 6 / 2007 Company renamed Engineering and Construction Joint Stock Company Engineering and Construction of Vietnam (MECO).
